What is the Path of Totality all about?

It's an event celebrating the total solar eclipse with community activities, music, workshops, and more, in a stunning natural setting.

What makes a total solar eclipse special?

A total solar eclipse is a rare natural event where the moon completely covers the sun, creating a spectacular visual phenomenon. The April 2024 total solar eclipse is extra special - read more about it here.

When and where will the event take place?

April 6 (12pm) - April 8 (5pm) at RAMO, a 61-acre ranch in Johnson City, TX.

How do I get to the event location?

Directions will be provided closer to the date. RAMO is ~ a 1-hour drive west of Austin and north of San Antonio.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is limited parking available with a Car Pass ONLY. You will not be allowed on site without a car pass.

Can I come for only part of the time?

The gate opens at noon on Saturday and the event lasts until Monday at 5pm. We ask that all attendees arrive by 3pm on Saturday and stay until 3pm on Monday. It is recommended that you stay until around 5pm on Monday as the traffic will be very heavy right after the eclipse, it will start to lighten up around 4pm.

What is included in the ticket?

All food, 2-night accommodation (depending on which ticket you purchase), non-alcoholic drinks, music, joy, playfulness, and laughter. There will be no money exchange once you arrive to RAMO.

What accommodation options are available?

We offer Glamping tents, KitLender tent kits, BYOT tent spots, and a limited number of van parking. The glamping style tents are plug n play and sleep up to 4 people. The KitLender tent rental kits are for those who do not have their own tent or don’t want to travel with them. You will be required to set up your own camping tents whether you bring your own or rent a kit.

WILL i BE able to SHOWER?

Yes, we provide several shower stalls on-site.

What kinds of activities can I expect?

Activities include fitness, connection exercises, workshops, talks on astronomy and sustainability, live music, dance parties, and more.

do i need to bring my own eclipse glasses?

No. We will provide eclipse glasses for you.

What is expected of participants?

  • Participation: Be a part of creating magic for yourself and for others. You will arrive by 3pm on Saturday and stay until 3pm on Monday.

  • Community: Arrive with an open mind and heart to meet new people and leave with new friends.

  • Eco-conscious: You will not bring any stuff that creates trash, you will clean up after yourself and leave no trace behind.

  • Curiosity: There will be an opportunity to learn about things that we feel matter; climate change, eating local, astronomy, connecting, love, and collective consciousness. Be curious and open minded to all that is discussed, seen, heard.

How can I volunteer at the event?

What happens in case of bad weather?

We have contingency plans for inclement weather, including covered areas and schedule adjustments. Pray with us for clear skies on eclipse day.
